It's said that Myanmar has the most favorable agricultural conditions in all of Asia. This image shows the rural area life in the near of Monywa Tonwship on the Chindwin river. During dry season, many villagers venture to the riverbanks to settle for some months, growing certain kinds of vegetables and fish for their daily needs. In this connection, it is important to note that Myanmar agriculture is characterized by small-scale, subsistence, family farming. Other outlets like this one are specialised in catching larger amount of small fish to sell it in the nearby villages.
